Trauma, Complex Trauma & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Therapy at Pathfinders is grounded in relational safety, depth, and the belief that healing is possible — even after long and painful chapters. I help youth (16+) and adults find stability, meaning, and a more connected relationship with themselves and others.

Individual Trauma & Complex Trauma Therapy

Through individual therapy, you’ll receive personalized, trauma-focused support tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Our sessions integrate DBT and other evidence-based approaches to help you strengthen emotional regulation, improve coping, and reconnect with the values that anchor and guide you.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) at Pathfinders

At Pathfinders, DBT is not simply a skills program — it is a compassionate, steady practice of helping you learn to live in your body, build trust in your emotions, and relate to yourself and others in new ways.

DBT Informed Therapy

DBT skills are woven into trauma-focused work to help you feel steadier in your nervous system, more grounded in your relationships, and able to meet emotions without fear or overwhelm.

This approach supports people who want deep trauma healing and relational repair, with DBT tools there to anchor and steady the process.

Comprehensive DBT

For those who need the full structure and support of DBT, Comprehensive DBT is also available. This includes:

  • weekly individual sessions

  • a DBT skills group

  • between-session support when needed

  • a consultation team guiding your care

This model is especially supportive for those who have lived with intense emotions, complex relational patterns, self-harm, suicidal thinking, or long-standing emotional suffering.

It offers a stable, structured path toward regulation, connection, and a life that feels like your own.

The Foundation of My Work

No matter the format, Trauma and DBT here is grounded in:

  • compassion

  • dignity

  • presence

  • nervous-system awareness

  • relational safety

  • real, meaningful change

This is not just coping. It is rebuilding a life — slowly, steadily, and with support.
